Purpose and Vision of Calvary Chapel Bible College Seattle
Our purpose for students is threefold:
- Develop spiritual maturity
- Integrate into Christ’s church
- Expand understanding of the Bible
Our vision is that each student heighten and deepen their own personal relationship with Christ, mature and understand life as part of the family of Christ, and grow in their knowledge of the Scriptures.
As a student that means:
Our primary focus will be on your spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ. We desire to see you grow in holiness and love, becoming more and more like Jesus. We desire to see you persevere in challenges and overcome trials as you mature. We desire to see you develop a close fellowship with God as you are enabled and led by the Holy Spirit.
Secondly, we will focus on your understanding and integration into the body of Christ, the church. We desire to see you grasp your spiritual gifts and understand your role as a member of Christ’s church. We desire to see you understand the Biblical emphasis on serving and giving versus domineering and taking, especially towards the church. We desire to see you grow in love for your fellow Christians as a marker of your salvation.
Finally, we will focus on instruction and retention of the Bible. We desire to see you to read and study through the entire Bible. We desire to see you grasp and understand main themes and the doctrine contained within the Bible. We desire to see you grow in your ability to communicate what you have been taught.
